M55 Reports
International documentary photography collective M55Reports presents a body of work which examines the impact of the 2008 financial crash on Greece.
How does a society respond to a crisis? What is the effect on a city? How do people’s lives change and adapt to challenges within a new economic landscape? Do the people of a city diverge or pull together? How does it feel to be young, or old, in this time? Who are the outsiders, the bystanders, the participants, at the grassroots, or lost in the wilderness?

Originally launched in 2015 by M55 in Athens, photographers were drawn together by Stefania Mizara (founder of M55),Christina Vazou and Maria Moschou, all graduates of the MA Photojournalism and Documentary Course at the London College of Communication, part of the University of the Arts London. The aim was to preserve peer support and the valuable nature exchange and dialogue which occurs in an educational setting, and offer the M55 location as a place for facilitating artistic dialogue and the nurturing of creative ideas.
